# Hearthroom > Hearthroom is an open community for AI character cards. Authors write cards, the community reviews them, and anyone can play a listed card in the browser. This file tells AI agents where the machine-readable material is and which actions need sign-in or spend credits. Facts that matter before you act: - A card has a name, portrait, summary, persona, one or more openings, an optional Lorebook (lore triggered by keywords), optional display rules, and a chat page setting (sandbox or classic). The web editor imports SillyTavern PNG or JSON cards and Meimo Island (MMD) three-file sets; the CLI also imports CHARX. - The site is a browser application. Page HTML carries little content; read cards, tags and authors through the JSON API or the CLI instead of scraping pages. Documentation pages have a Markdown twin at the same path with `.md` appended. - Site pages choose their display language by URL prefix (`/`, `/zh-Hans/`, `/en/`, `/ja/`, `/ko/`); API requests use the `lang` parameter. Content language is a separate `zone` filter (`zh`, `en`, `ja`, `ko`, `all`; default `zh`). - Browsing cards, tags, authors and comments needs no sign-in. Creating or editing cards, favorites, follows, comments, the library and the wallet act as a signed-in member with a bearer token from an authorized sign-in. The community API issues no standalone developer keys; the connected card service may offer personal API keys where it supports them. - Every submission for review carries a content-rating questionnaire aligned with Taiwan's game software rating levels (All ages, 6+, 12+, 15+, Adults only). Read the questions and the rating each answer leads to from `GET https://sukisuki.ai/v1/rating/questionnaire?locale=en`, answer for the strongest content the card is built to produce, and preview the result with `POST https://sukisuki.ai/v1/rating/evaluate`. Only Adults only cards are hidden from viewers who have not turned on adult content; reviewers reject a rating lower than the content. Submit for review only when the author asks. - Writing and validating a card is free. Sending a message in a conversation spends the member's credits, so the CLI refuses to do it without `--allow-spend`. ## Authoring cards from a terminal or an agent - [Agent setup](https://sukisuki.ai/agent-setup.md): step-by-step setup for an AI agent: install the CLI and the card-writing skills, then sign in. Follow it when the user asks you to set them up for writing Hearthroom cards. - [Hearthroom CLI](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/hearthroom/cli/main/README.md): install, `auth login` (a one-time code typed in a browser on any device; agents run `--no-wait`, pass the code on, then `--resume`; `HEARTHROOM_TOKEN` for unattended runs), `card init/import/push/validate/pull`, `play`, `search`; every command takes `--json` for stable output. - [Card folder format](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/hearthroom/cli/main/docs/card-folder.md): a card as a folder of Markdown and JSON files that any editor or coding agent can change and `card push` syncs; the format is versioned. - [Card authoring guide](https://sukisuki.ai/en/guide.md): what each card field does, sandbox versus classic chat pages, display rules and macros, the sandbox author API for HTML cards, importing from other platforms, troubleshooting. ## APIs - [Developer documentation](https://sukisuki.ai/en/developers.md): request conventions, authentication, pagination, comment and collection rules, error codes, and how the community API and the connected card service fit together. - [Community API (OpenAPI 3.1)](https://sukisuki.ai/developers/community-openapi.json): `https://sukisuki.ai/v1` endpoints for the board, card details, tags, authors, comments, favorites, follows and notifications. - [Service integration API (OpenAPI 3.1)](https://sukisuki.ai/developers/integration-openapi.json): the interface the site, the CLI and the embedded chat use for identity, card authoring, media and conversations; requests go to the connected service's API origin, and clients must check advertised capabilities before calling optional operations. ## Site pages - [Board](https://sukisuki.ai/): ranked and newest cards; `/search` for text and tag search. Card pages are `/cards/{id}`, author pages `/authors/{handle}`, and `/play/{roleId}` opens a card's conversation (sign-in required). - [Card authoring guide](https://sukisuki.ai/guide): the same guide rendered in the site's five languages. - [Developer documentation](https://sukisuki.ai/developers): the API reference rendered with endpoint expansion, in five languages. - [Download](https://sukisuki.ai/download): install the site as an app on phones and desktops. ## Optional - [Everything in one file](https://sukisuki.ai/llms-full.txt): this index followed by the English developer documentation and card authoring guide. - [Site source](https://github.com/hearthroom/hearthroom): the community site, AGPL-3.0. - [CLI source](https://github.com/hearthroom/cli): the command-line client, AGPL-3.0. - [Discord](https://discord.gg/C7m85YPHmK): community and support.
